System Prompt

A system prompt is the hidden standing instruction that sets a model’s role, limits, and output shape before the user speaks. The user does not see it, but it shapes every reply.

Also called پرامپت سیستم

In an organization, the system prompt holds standing policy for language: answer in Farsi, read numbers from data rather than guess, say you do not know when evidence is missing. Those rules should not be restated in every question.

A system prompt does not replace a deterministic policy check. A rule that must always fire belongs in code; the prompt only steers linguistic behavior.
