Artifact
An artifact is a structured, citable output from an agent: not free text, but a record with named fields such as claim, evidence, confidence level, and recommended action. People read the artifact, not the raw run log of the system.

The difference between an artifact and a text answer is structure and traceability. A text answer cannot be systematically reviewed, archived, or compared with previous answers. A structured artifact can.
A common template for an analytical artifact includes these fields: the main claim, numeric evidence, confidence level with its basis, estimated effect, recommended action, risks, and data gaps. The last two fields are the strongest sign of a system’s honesty: an answer that does not declare its limits is not reliable.
