Incremental Margin

Incremental margin is the extra net profit from a promotion after subtracting the discount cost on every unit sold. A campaign can raise volume and cut profit at the same time.

Also called حاشیهٔ افزایشی

The reason for this apparent contradiction is clear: the discount is applied to **all** units, including those that would have sold without the discount. If the baseline is 1,000 units and the campaign takes sales to 1,200, you sold 200 extra units but discounted 1,200.

Calculation: profit on the incremental units, minus the discount applied to baseline units, minus campaign execution costs. If the result is negative, the campaign lost money despite the sales growth.
